The Pavarotti Story

A Tribute to Luciano Pavarotti

In keeping with its spirit of innovation, MCO is proud to present the premiere season of its original work "The Pavarotti Story: His Life and Art", honouring the life and career of the great Italian Tenor.

Written, devised and narrated by Dr. Joseph Talia OAM, The Pavarotti Story is a warm recounting of Pavarotti's Life and Art. It traces his stellar career from his humble beginning in Modena, Italy to his superstardom, his status as a living legend and finally his transformation to cultural icon.

The story is told through narrative and music, and is punctuated by the presentation of some of the most famous operatic ensembles ever composed.

MCO is proud to have assembled a cast consisting of some of the most gifted artists in Australia, all eager to pay tribute to one of the greatest operatic artists of all time and under the baton of our resident conductor maestro Erich Fackert who will conduct the MCO Chorus and Orchestra.

The directors take this opportunity to acknowledge the efforts of our Artistic Director, Dr. Talia and the entire artistic team for their contribution to this unique event paying tribute to a truly unique artist of the twentieth century.

Finally, we trust that you enjoy our presentation of Pavarotti's Life and Art, and hope to see you in 2008 when we will present an equally exciting and innovative program as we have in 2007.
