Austin is currently studying for a Bachelor of Music degree at The University of Melbourne. Prior to his studies he worked as an electrician and at the same time studied singing, sang in church and was involved in a number of amateur theatrical company productions including Chess, Sweeney Todd and The Saint of Bleeker Street.

He has also appeared in a number of The University of Melbourne’s Faculty of Music Opera Projects and competed in Eisteddfods.

He joined Melbourne City Opera in 2003 as an ensemble member for the production of Tosca. In 2004 he hopes to complete his degree and pursue his music career.
