Mylinda Joyce is originally from Sydney but relocated to Melbourne in 2002 to commence studies at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA). Here she completed her Bachelor of Music (Performance) under the tutelage of Anna Connolly.

During her studies at the VCA Mylinda was the recipient of the Mabel Kent Estate Singing Scholarship. the Murray Ormond Vagg Singing Scholarship, the Athenaeum Vocal Prize and the prestigious Lowrey Arts Scholarship - as awarded by the Acclaim Awards.

In 2005, Mylinda was elected as a finalist in the prestigious Australian Singing Competition where she performed wth the Sydney Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Richard Bonynge. Mylinda made her Symphonic debut in October 2005 as Soprano soloist in Rachmaninov's The Bells with the Royal Melbourne Philharmonic Choir and the VCA Symphony Orchestra.

May 2006 saw Mylinda make her Oratorio debut as Soprano Soloist in Giuseppe Verdi's Requiem with The Melbourne Chorale and the VCA Symphony Orchestra. Earlier in 2006. Mylinda was named and awarded the Young Achiever of the Year by the Rotary Club of Melbourne for her performance achievements.

In July 2006. Mylinda took a placement as an inaugural member of the Victorian Opera 'Artist Development Program', where she performed extensively in Concert and Recital. Mylinda also performed in the Chorus of Opera Australia's 2006 Spring season of Puccini's Turandot.

Her completion of the Artist Development Program in November 2007 culminated in her performing the role of Fiordiliggi in Mozart's Cosi' fan tutte.

Mylinda has featured regularly as a guest artist with the SBS TV & Radio Choir & Orchestra and has given many recitals throughout Australia, performing regularly as a Guest Artist for various corporate and charity organisations throughout Australia.
