As a principal with Melbourne City Opera Liora Michelle has performed to critical acclaim such roles as Mimi. Musetta. Leonora (II Trovatore) and Mia in addition to excerpts from numerous operas with the MCO orchestra, the Grand Orchestra and at many venues including Chapel off Chapel. Melba Hall and Crown Casino.

Liora's crossover engagements include Australian tours of the Cole Porter revue Almost Anything Goes and guest appearances for Carols by Candlelight, summer concert series and Italian and French cultural events.

After moving to New York she performed at such landmarks as St. Baromew's for the United Nations 9/11 ceremony. Carnegie Hall's recital venue, Weill Hall (singing excerpts from such operas as Madama Butterfly, Faust, Don Giovanni and others) and Steinway Hall (for The Rachmaninoff Foundation) as well as in the Northeast.

Liora has added to her operatic repertoire such roles as Giorgetta (II Tabarro), and re-visited previous roles, in-
ing Nedda (I Pagliacci). She recently returned to Melbourne and performed the role of Odabella in Melbourne City Opera's Attila. She looks forward to returning to the States to sing her fourth Desdemona in two years in a production by Miami Lyric Opera and Nedda with Center Stage Opera. Other upcoming engagements include Bel Canto Opera in Lima. Peru.

Liora is conversant in Italian, French. German. Spanish and Mandarin and continues her study of Russian.
