Jamieson Lewis Lighting Director

Jamieson was the Melbourne Theatre Company's Resident Lighting Designer for over twenty-five years designing the lighting for around four hundred productions.  More recent productions include Company, Fred, Pride and Prejudice, The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui, The Lover and The Collection, Born Yesterday, The Talented Mr Ripley, The Misanthrope and A Little Night Music.

He has also designed over thirty productions for the Victoria State Opera including The Magic Flute, The Pearl Fishers, Il Trovatore, Otello, Fidelio, and Rigoletto.  He has also worked with Opera Australia, LOQ and SOSA.

Jamieson is currently lighting the Australian tour of The Importance of Being Earnest and has recently lit Guys and Dolls for the Production Company, Amanda Muggleton's The Book Club and will shortly light the musical The Irish...and how they got that way.

He has taken Lighting Master Classes at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and is a recipient of the Greenroom Award for Outstanding Technical Achievement to Australian Theatre.
