Salvatore Granata is a spinto tenor who made his operatic debut as Jose in Melbourne City Opera's Carmen in 1997 and has since played Alcindoro in La Bohéme, Amelia's servant in Un Ballo in Maschera, Canio in I Paglliacci, Mario in Tosca and Manrico in II Trovatore.
His most recent roles have been as Dr Caius in Falstaff, Don Jose in Carmen at Scotchman's Hill (Spray Farm) and as Canio in I Pagliacci. Salvatore is also a member of the Austtralian Three Tenors, who perform regularly throughout Melbourne and country Victoria singing both operatic arias and popular Neapolitan songs. Salvatore has recently shared the role of Foresto in the Melbourne City Opera production of Attila.
