Sarah Giufre completed a Bachelor of Performing Arts at Monash University in 1998 and then went on to gain a first class honours degree in Music composition.

Sarah has a diverse creative background; she has composed and choreographed for stage and film; performed in amateur musical theatre and more recently produced a CD of original music.

Sarah began her opera studies in 2000 and has sung with the Melbourne City Opera chorus in productions of Carmen and Il Trovatore. She has also performed in the company's Va Pensiero Day concert and the Bellini and Verdi Anniversary concert.

Sarah made her principal debut as Lola in Melbournce City Opera's Cavellaria Rusticana in 2002.
