Susan Gamble graduated in 1998 from Monash University with a Bachelor of Performing Arts and in 2001 from RMIT with a Bachelor of Fine Art. She then commenced studying for her Masters in Animation and Interactive Media.

Susan began performing at an early age; singing, acting, playing the piano and the violin, and made her professional debut while still at school in the children's chorus of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Whilst at Monash she performed in many productions including roles in Manning Clark's History of Australia, The World goes Round and was nominated for a Guild acting award for her title role in Noraa [Written and directed by Monash student Aaron Joyner].

Susan has performed in the chorus of Melbourne City Opera's productions of Carmen and Il Trovatore and the role of Lola in Cavalleria Rusticana marked her MCO principal debut in 2002.
