Domenico was a finalist of the Sydney Sun Aria in which Dame Joan Sutherland, the chief adjudicator was lavish in her praise, describing him as "a light in a dark room". In 1995 he performed the role of L'Officier in Verdi's Jerusalem at the Teatro Regio in Turin, Italy with an international cast led by the world renowned Ruggiero Raimondi. He has since travelled regularly overseas for solo concerts in Italy and in England. In London, he sang at the Gibson Hall with well-known pianist Alan Kogosowski. In Australia, Domenico has performed live on television and has sung in the Australian mini-series Snowy. He has sung in numerous concerts and recitals, including performances for the French Consul-General, the Victorian Arts Centre and the Italian Institute of Culture. Domenico's roles include Mr. Schmidt in The Impresario, Romeo in Romeo and Juliet, Rodolfo in La Boheme, Cavaradossi in Tosca and Turridu in Cavalleria Rusticana. Domenico has performed the role of Mario Lanza in The Mario Lanza Story, and has completed a very successful national tour of Masterclass. |
