Catherine has been singing for many years in musical theatre, light opera, choral groups and as a soloist in recitals and concert. She has performed many leading roles in musical theatre and light opera companies, including Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance, Marianne in The New Moon and Barbarina in The Marriage of Figaro.

Catherine was awarded the Gladys Moncrieff award for Most Notable New Talent by the Music Theatre Guild for her role as Lady Thiang in The King and I. She was also nominated for a Guild Award for her role as Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance. Catherine has competed successfully in many Melbourne Eisteddfods and also sings regularly with the Ashton-Smith Singers. Catherine was asked to perform the soprano solo in Mozart's Laudate Dominum for the soundtrack to the television mini series After the
Deiuge, shown on Channel Ten.
